Meramec Springs State Park – Only 20 miles away is a Registered National Landmark that offers some of the finest trout fishing anywhere. Over 100 hundred million gallons of pure spring water gushes from beneath a huge bluff each day at a constant 56 degrees Fahrenheit. This keeps the pools and stream open all year.  There is also a museum, trout rearing pools, café and store to see while you are there.

Missouri Wine Country – While at High Adventure Ranch you can also sample the local wines of Missouri. The Meramec Vineyards, Heinrichshaus Vineyard & Winery, Belmont Vineyards, and St. James Winery are all within a half hour drive of the Ranch. If you have never sampled Missouri Wines, you are in for a treat.

Canoe, Kayak or Raft Trips – You can float the upper Current River and Jack's Fork Rivers all year since these rivers are spring fed. Fishing, exploring caves, and swimming are just a few activities you can enjoy while floating. Horseback Riding – There are a number of locations close to High Adventure Ranch where you can take a scenic horseback ride through the Ozark Mountains or enjoy a breathtaking sunset river ride. Or maybe your goal is to learn to rope a steer off a horse. Bass River Resort or Kickn’ K Farmhouse and Arena can handle everyone from the novices to advanced riders.

St. Joe State Park – Off Road Vehicle Park – Located just 67 miles away, all terrain vehicles have access to the sand flats, hill and 2,000 acres set aside for off-road vehicles. The park also has 4 lakes, 2 swimming beaches and equestrian trail, as well as hiking and bike trails.
